Volunteer - CHAP

Do you want to do something you love and serve homeschoolers at the same time?

CHAP is dependent on people just like you to continue serving homeschooling families. Due to continued growth, we have various leadership positions and smaller support job openings. All positions require an agreement to CHAP’s Statement of Faith, the general qualities of strong written and verbal communication skills, computer proficiency, and excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Communications Team Volunteer

The Homeschooling in the News Coordinator will help procure content for the weekly Homeschooling in the News section in the CHAP E-News and for individual social media posts. The Homeschooling in the News Coordinator would be part of the CHAP Communications Team. Responsibilities include:

Finding and assembling news articles and blogs that are published each week
Vetting the articles/blogs to ensure they meet CHAP's publishing standards
Building an ongoing list of links and headlines that can be highlighted in the weekly E-News and in Social Media
Reviewing and editing the headlines to ensure that they are intriguing to the reader
Meeting monthly with the Communications Team.

Time Commitment:

1-2 hours per week

Podcast Producer | CHAP

Are you passionate about doing post-production work on podcasts? CHAP is seeking a Podcast Post-Production Assistant. Candidates must agree with the CHAP statement of faith, and wholly endorse and support CHAP’s mission statement and goals. Responsibilities include:

Downloading the podcast files to edit
Adding a header to the videos
Modifying the thumbnails by adding a graphic(s)
Converting the files to proper formats for upload to YouTube and Spotify

Social Media Ambassador | CHAP

The Social Media Ambassador is a key part of the Communications Team and will report to the Director of Communications. CHAP is looking for an individual to help promote our community in Pennsylvania homeschool Facebook groups by posting and answering questions about CHAP. It is important to help bring attention to the resources CHAP offers to PA homeschoolers. Candidates must agree with the CHAP statement of faith, and wholly endorse and support CHAP’s mission statement and goals. Responsibilities include:

Distributing appropriate and timely information
Monitoring conversations and responding to questions
Building relationships with new and existing homeschoolers
Meeting monthly with the Communications Team
