Advisory Board Member

Are you interested in furthering the vision of homeschooling in Pennsylvania and beyond? Advisory Board members provide wisdom, insight, and support to the CHAP Board. Advisory Board members are non-voting members that serve as couples for one year terms (ending at the annual meeting in July).

An Advisory Board member affirms the CHAP Statement of Faith, and is committed to traditional homeschooling and encouraging homeschooling in PA and throughout society. All school-aged children of Advisory Board members must be homeschooled under the PA homeschool law, the RFPA, or the private tutor option with the parents doing the majority of the instruction time.

Advisory Board members would attend and participate in 3-4 phone meetings (1-2 hours) and 3 face-to-face meetings (6 hours on a Saturday) annually as well as attending the annual CHAP Convention. Advisory Board members are encouraged to participate in one of our active teams (Communications, Convention, Legislative) to better understand the organization.
