In September, history indicates we can anticipate a significant increase in the number of bills being submitted to both Houses of the General Assembly focusing upon education.
Issues of Interest
- The Pennsylvania Superior Court has ruled in favor of a lawsuit filed by the Pennsylvania Secretary of State to remove Cornel West from the ballot for the 2024 General Election for President.
- The 2024 National Democratic Party platform does not mention homeschooling at all.
- The 2024 National Republican Party platform in section 7:2 supports homeschooling and in Section 7:5 affirms the parents’ right to choose the best education program for their children.
- Early voting in Pennsylvania starts September 16, 2024 (the earliest in the nation).
- Election Day is Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
