What volunteer position are you serving in? Homeschool in the News Coordinator
What drew you to serve? I was considering homeschooling my kids and I am one who likes to research before starting something. In my path of finding out the legal side of homeschooling I came across CHAP’s website. I had been praying about volunteer opportunities that I could do remotely to accommodate our schedules and there it was; a volunteer was needed. I applied and here I am now. I am very grateful to be a part of such a wonderful team.
What do you enjoy about where you serve? The people make the place. From the first phone call upon applying as a volunteer there was a welcoming atmosphere. Each volunteer is a hard worker and passionate about homeschooling which adds an energy to CHAP. This is a place that encourages families to pursue what is best for them and support them in the best ways CHAP can support.
What would you tell others who are considering volunteer opportunities with CHAP? Go for it! It is a wonderful opportunity and you will gain so much wisdom from volunteering with CHAP. You will also gain new connections and relationships that will fortify your calling in life.
