The 2021–2022 Legislative session concluded at midnight on November 30, 2022.

Legislation

Senate Bill 996, “Act Providing for Parental Rights”, was sponsored by Senator Mastriano.

This bill was placed for second consideration. Second consideration provides members of the Senate the opportunity to ensure that enough information is available to discuss the bill. If there is any monetary cost, it is forwarded to the Appropriations Committee to place a “price tag”—a cost of the bill being passed. Amendments could also be presented at this time.

Bills not enacted during the two-year session must be reintroduced the following session.
