What volunteer position/positions are you serving in?

I am lucky enough to be the editor for the CHAP E-News. That means that I get to spend time creating emails full of content from our website and our upcoming events. I have also written for the CHAP website. Both are a lot of fun.

What drew you to serve?

This position was a great way for me to use my God-given interest and background in writing and editing. I love that I can serve the homeschool community and use my unique talents at the same time.

What do you enjoy about where you serve?

Serving the homeschool community by getting creative and crafting content is completely life-giving for me. While I would like doing these activities anywhere, it is extra meaningful that I am doing them for homeschoolers.

What would you tell others who are considering volunteer opportunities with CHAP?

Many people think that volunteering for CHAP is like any other community service opportunity. But it is not. Here is the difference: When you are volunteering for CHAP, you are serving God’s people in God’s kingdom. I see volunteering with CHAP as a ministry, on the same level as the ministry I have with my local church. This is God’s work we are doing here, so this is important. I am thrilled by any small part I get to play in that.
