Christian Homeschool Writers’ Conference Within the Convention
CHAP is pleased to offer this “Christian Homeschool Writer’s Conference” within the Convention complimentary to all registered 2017 Convention attendees (both parents and students).
Do you want to get some quick tips on improving your writing skills or helping your children improve theirs? Stuck on the outline or how to get through that first draft? Wonder what it takes to get a book published?
Do you have a good book idea, but you don’t know where to begin? Stumped on how to develop a certain character?
David Fessenden – long-time, nationally-known writers’ conference instructor and author of many books including Writing the Christian Nonfiction Book: Concept to Contract and Father to Nobody’s Children (missionary biography of Thomas Bernando) – will be presenting topics such as:
- Teaching Professional Writing Techniques to Your Student
- Divide and Conquer: Writing Your First Draft
- A Fly on the Wall in a Publishing House
- Editing Your Own Material
Jeannette DiLouie – homeschool graduate, editor, adjunct professor, and author of several novels including the Founding America books – knows exactly where you’re coming from as a homeschooled student. She will be presenting sessions on:
- Novel Writing 101
- How to Write the Perfect Novel Character
In addition to these helpful workshops, Dave and Jeannette will be offering FREE, 15-minute writing consultations right in the vendor hall! All you have to do is go to their booth and sign up for an available time slot. These opportunities are limited though, so you will want to sign up quickly!
